ABOUT
My name is Phil Baumann. I am a Registered Nurse with a background in critical care, drug safety, accountancy, finance, treasury operations, and recruiting. Differen, huh?
What I’m really about is this:
I am going to discover how to improve the health of every child, woman and man on the planet.
Sounds outlandish? Of course it is. But only the outlandish offer hope for a better world.
I started my career in accounting and finance, working for several large companies until deciding to embark on a plan to enter a completely new field, nursing. In 2005 I graduated from Drexel University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. After working for a couple of years in ICU, I segued into the pharmaceutical industry through a clinical research organization.
One of my New Year’s resolutions for 2008 was to learn a lot more about Web 2.0, including setting down a basic understanding of (X)HTML, CSS, php and other key tools for clear elements of web design. I have also begun to blog and have become familiar with WordPress, Blogger and TypePad formats, although WordPress seems the most flexible as I learn more about style sheets.
I believe that the rest of the 21st century will bring enormous changes in the way we conduct business and I am currently planning to stay on the curve by being ahead of the curve. One of my hopes is that my blogging will reflect my progression into the many promising components of what is generally referred to as Web 2.0. Who knows, maybe something remarkable will evolve out this little experiment.
Feel free to comment on my posts and I promise to do my best to keep the conversation going. Speak your mind. Speech is free, but hatred isn’t, so if you have something hateful to say, learn to meditate or take something. Otherwise, blog your heart out and let’s find out how deep the rabbit hole goes.

Thank you!
