Hello. My name is Phil Baumann and this is my home base on the web. I also blog heavily over on my business website, Health Is Social, where I focus on the intersection of Healthcare and emerging technologies.

What I Do: I help organizations to generate, plan, implement and evaluate innovative ideas concerning technology, with a focus on Healthcare and other regulated industries.

My Specialties: I specialize in providing rigorous assessments of business objectives, improving internal and external communications and providing guidance on best practices for today’s changing media landscape.

I also speak and write about how technologies are changing our world – in particular the intersection of Healthcare and social and other digital media.

I’m on the Board of Advisors for Mayo Clinic Center for Social Media.

I’m a registered nurse with a background in enterprise accounting, treasury operations and . I blog primarily about how technologies influence us, with an emphasis on health care applications of social software.

I lead #RNchat and #MDchat, the first Twitter chats for registered nurses and doctors, respectively. I’m also a member of the Better Health network of bloggers.
