ABOUT

Phil Baumann ProfileThis blog is about you. I’m a registered nurse with a background in enterprise accounting and treasury operations. I blog primarily about how technologies influence us, with an emphasis on health care applications of social software. I founded #RNchat, a Twitter chat for registered nurses and I’m a member of the Better Health network of bloggers.

I started my career in accounting and finance, working for several large companies until deciding to embark on a plan to enter a completely new field, nursing. In 2005 I graduated from Drexel University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. After working for a couple of years in ICU, I segued into the pharmaceutical industry through a clinical research organization.

I believe that the rest of the 21st century will bring enormous changes in the way we conduct business and I am currently planning to stay on the curve by being ahead of the curve. One of my hopes is that my blogging will reflect my progression into the many promising components of what is generally referred to as Web 2.0. Who knows, maybe something remarkable will evolve out this little experiment.

If you have any technical problems with my website or any comments, please email me at Phil (at) PhilBaumann (dot) com. You can also follow me on Twitter: @PhilBaumann.

Feel free to comment on my posts and I promise to do my best to keep the conversation going. Speak your mind. Speech is free, but hatred isn’t, so if you have something hateful to say, learn to meditate or take something. Otherwise, blog your heart out and let’s find out how deep the rabbit hole goes.

Thank you!

Phil
