Craig Venter Unveils Synthetic Life
Have we created artificial life? According to Craig Venter, we now have created the first “synthetic life”. I don’t know about you but this is huge news – regardless of whether you call this life or not. I repeat: this is HUGE news – perhaps one of the biggest in our lives.

This is HUGE news and I don’t know how this passed me by but it did – thanks for flagging it up. Prior to going into healthcare communications I studied and worked as a microbiologist. This is fascinating and I love to see the progress of science however I also find this quite disturbing. Folk freak out about GM crops but this is a whole new level!!!
